Thanksgiving Time!

Day 4 In Flag

Well today started off the way we intended- we got up and had a great workout at the gym!
After workin up a good sweat (and burning off all those thanskgiving calories) we got all cleaned up to go get my hair cut!! After having a crazy small world experience at the hair cutting place, Abby and I then..yes, again-went shopping :) I couldnt resist not buying $10 jeans :)
After shopping we needed a bit of a boost so we went to good ol macy's to indulge in the infamous Macy's special!! YUM...after having a photo shoot in macy's we did a lil more shopping then went to sushi!!
Funny story about the picture at sushi- we were literally in the middle of praying for our meal and the waiter came over an interrupted us to take our picture- wow how rude! it turned out cute but still!!!
After sushi, we headed over to the Draper's to go love on a friend who needed some encouragement. After spending a few hours with her, we then headed back home to eat a home cooked meal and decorate for xmas :)
After decorating for xmas we were in desperate need for ice cream, so we go good ol TCBY, came home and watched 2 chick flicks haha
Man I have been having a blast! I cant believe I am leaving tomorrow :( Not to worry tho, I will be back in a month, for a month!

Thanksgiving Time!

Day 3 Sister Downtime!

Well today Abby and I had aspirations to be productive, work out and go brave the crowds early in the morning- well we didn't leave the house until 9 am haha

We knew shopping was going to be on our agenda so our first stop was downtown. Unfortunately, we didnt find anything down there but we did get the opportunity to bless a homeless traveler with a good ol cup of hot chocolate and a pastry from Late for the Train. I read this verse today and God gave us the opportunity to be obedient:
If anyone has material possessions
and sees his brother in need
but has no pity on him,
how can the love of God be in him?
Dear children,
let us not love with words or tongue
but with actions and in truth.
(1 John 3:17-18)
After shopping for like 3 hours and coming away with only a pair of boots for Abby, we then went to the movies to go see "Love and other Drugs". We stuffed our faces with swedish fish, rasinettes and popcorn. The movie was cute but way too much nudity!!

So much for the productive day, but it was restful with no agenda! We are totally exhausted so its about bedtime! Tomorrow is get a good workout, get a haircut, spending sometime with a lady from church who's in need of encouraging girl time and more sister time! It feels like I have been home for a month! I love it!

Thanksgiving Time!

Day 2 in Flagstaff
Well today was a total blast! It all started with a lovely 4 mile hike in Sedona. We got spend some sweet time with new friends eating and playing games.
Though it was a bit chilly in the canyon, we had a ton of fun taking advantage of photo opportunities!!
Today is all about being thankful and I am definitely thankful for an amazing family who God is continually working on in amazing ways! I was sooo encouraged to talk with Molly and the parents today- no doubt about it their lives are being changed this week and its so cool to hear!!
Abby and I were thankful to be taken in by some amazing people to spend thanksgiving! There was a ton of food, fellowship and laughter today and thats the best way to spend a holiday!
I am excited I still have 4 days with Abby! We may brave the crowd and shop early tomorrow!! Woohoo! Praise God for His faithfulness and His grace!
Game night was totally fun!!

Thanksgiving Time!

First Day in AZ

I am so thankful to have the opportunity to come home and spend thanksgiving with Abby while the parents are out of the country! The flight to phoenix was great and I was happily greeted by Abby at the security check point! We then didn't delay to go eat a "healthy" meal at good ol In and Out- Yum! We then headed to the Anthem outlets to do some damage- and we sure did.
I must say our mom taught us well when shopping- we are ultra bargain shoppers :) With our bags full of new boots, sweaters and jeans, we then headed up the hill to be greeted with snow covered streets!
After doing some grocery shopping and some early thanksgiving cooking, Abby and I called it a night! It has been a blast getting some sweet one on one time with Ab, and I am looking forward to more!
Tomorrow we are going hiking in Sedona and spending sweet time fellowshipping with good friends! Lots of food and fun to look forward to! God is good and I am beyond thankful for all the blessing He has poured down on the Evans' Family :)
